Mweowee! ? The days have just slipped by and I haven't done much of nuttin' still. It's just TOOOO hot! I sit by the window some but must get up and move to a cooler spot occasionally but with great effort. MM and MD go out and come back complaining about the heat and they are all sweaty. IcK. So why do they bother to go outside anyway? Stay here with me and we can nap in the cool.
There was a little excitement Wed. evening in our backyard. 2 furry little critters were wandering around eating leaves and surveying our yard while MM and MD went nuts getting their cameras going...more pictures. I heard them say the critters were "kits", not kittens...but fox babies. They were a little smaller than me and I must admit they were pretty cute. However, I didn't care to go out to meet them. Just watched from the windows. We're in the suburbs and don't see foxes here altho' we have had possums, raccoons, rabbits and skunks but not often. Kind of a nice break in the evening schedule.
Time to nap again before dinner so stay cool this next week, floofies, and watch out for critters.

It's just too hot to do anything today, and I haven't been doin' much for the last week or so either. MM has been in and out with her stuff so I just been lonely a lot. Questions she is wrestling with...should kitties be adopted in pairs? Are we happier with a floofy buddy? I'm about 6 1/2 years old and have not shown a great deal of tolerance for visiting floofies...would I adapt to another kitty if it was introduced properly? Maybe my blogging friends can get their beans to answer these nagging questions. Then tell us how to get MD to agree to another pretty kitty! Thanks much to all for suggestions, answers, etc.

These last days were nice but kind of cool. As usual we walked around lookin' at stuff and eating grass (me, not MM). I even got to chase a grasshopper which was lots of fun! Here's a photo of me in my pet carrier with MM when we go for more difficult hikes.
We started out on the looonng drive very early when it was still dark outside. MM gave me sumthin' that made me kind of sleepy so she held me for a while as MD drove. Later I got back in my spot where I can sleep or watch to make sure MD is careful. But the roads are bumpy most of the time so it's bouncy in the truck. We got to our camping place at supper time and boy, was I ready to eat, and ready to walk around too.
