Springtime in the Wet Mountains

Monday

Wheee! It's time to head to the mountains! Gotta get my calming collar out, pack my harness and leash, litterbox, and other travel gear. Please send up a purr-ayer for us to have a safe trip, and that I don't get carsick!
Can't wait to see all my mountain furriends...the deer, chipmonks, birdies, but no bears. MD was checking the weather and it sounds good. Cool in the morning and mild afternoons. Hike hike hike! I'll tell MM to take some good pictures to share.

Trippin' Tuesday

Today was the test run for my new Calming Collar. Don't know how calm I was going to see my kitty doctor tho'. I voiced my displeasure all the way there for all the good it did. Once we got there, I moved to the very back of my carrier and stayed there as long as I could. The doctor's assistant weighed me, poked me, and stuck me...reeoww! Then she announced that I am now a 'mature cat'. Excuse me? MM was no help at all. She said that we could be old ladies together! Purrlease! I am NOT old. Of all the nerve.

I was quiet going home and very happy to find a nice spot at home where I could think this over and regain some feline dignity. (And watch for my lizard in the sunlight.)

Wed.- got words...

So warm today. I want to play and run and nap in the sun.
Told MM all about it but she thought I was just bein' whiney! Oh, well, it was ok 'cause she gave me a good brushing and a cuddle.

Last week MM bought a new 'calming collar' for me to try when we have to ride in the car. Maybe it will make me feel better when I gotta ride. We will report on the results soon in case some other floofies want to try one during stressful times.

A Little Nostalgia

Today MM has been sorting through some old photos and trying to clean out some stuff. I thought about helping but the window ledge called to me so after checking out how things were going, I decided to nap and enjoy the quiet. She interupted me to show me some pictures of my predecessors...so many floofies!! MM must be really OLD to have had so many kitties! And she says that's not all of them...just can't find pictures of them all. I can see in her eyes how much she loved them and misses each one so guess I'll cuddle her a little to make her feel better.

I'm bored!

Nothin' to do today so I keep talking to MM about it but she just sits in her chair sleeping or watching Animal Planet. She had to see her people doctor yesterday and has to take it easy but this is ridiculous...I want to play! Well, maybe I can find something to do. There is a ping pong ball around here somewhere, and lots of toy mices. Wish there was a buddy for me...hmmm. We saw some really pretty kitties on Cats 101-maybe we could get one of those. We'll have to talk about this...MM, MD, and me. Later furriends!
