Holiday?

All my peoples just up and left me and took all those fun bags and boxes with them! That wasn't very purr-lite! But my regular toys were here so I played with them some and then slept around in a couple of my favorite chairs. When it was dark MM and MD came home finally but not BB(big brother) and his friend. They brought me some big pretty bags to play with, and some ribbon so all is well. And I have my musical toys to look at too. Happy Holidays!

New Stuff Around here

Wow, what's a happenin' here. MM is putting all this stuff everywhere -even in my places! I'll check it all out then tell you what it's all about. Hmmm.

Mosi the Terror

Mosi was MM's mother's (MGMa) kitty who was about the same age as me but he got very sick with some nasties. Mosi crossed the bridge while we were on our mountain. MGMa misses him very much and so do uncles M and El. Bye pretty, ornery kitty!!

Fall has fell

Life is perfectly grand this week! Doors open, windows open, and my lizard has been sunning right outside my window. And oh, yes, I caught a little bitty lizard in the house, too, so am keeping us safe from lizard invasions. I also found a moth to play with but that didn't last long as they tend to fall apart and get stuff all over my paws.

Two nights ago a strange visitor showed up at my back door and he made an awful racket so I got all set for a fight but MD closed the door! Took a while to get my fur to lay back down, and to destress! Barky, whiney old thing just got me riled.

It's time to find a sunny spot and stand guard for a while. Meeooww till next time.

The Hideout

MM left me to run an errand and she closed the doors! I was using the back door, thank you very much! So while she was out I decided to take a nap in a nice quiet cozy spot where no one could bother me...or find me! Meeaawwhaha! Got in the guest room closet where there is a nice soft place just my size. OOPS! She found me!

Watching and waiting

Reeowww and good morning. Sunshine and cool breeze and an open patio door have made me sooo happy! My squirrelly critters have been playing and eating right at the door. And I even saw a big ol' bird that flew at me but he was outside and I was in...ha! MM said it was a hawk. Big feathery thing!

Open windows

Had to nag MM this morning after MD closed one of the windows because he turned on their air conditioner. I like it cool,too, but must have the window OPEN!! My squirrel was out there calling me!

The very long camping trip

My family finally decided to get out of the city again and we headed to the mountains of Colorado for 2 long weeks. I was happy to be going but hate that drive. I tried to keep myself all together but still had a few "upsets" before we got to our mountain. That is the best place I've ever been to...lots of trees and dirt and rocks and all my animal friends. MM and I went hiking every day. Sometimes she carries me, sometimes I walk on my leash. And it is always fun. If she doesn't take me, I meeoow till she gives in. There are deer-big fuzzy animals with great big ears and eyes, funny squirrels with tufted ears, and a chipmunk family that I can see out our window. I have also heard talk of some animal called a bear but we haven't seen any up close in our area. MM and MD have seen footprints though. And once we saw a kind of big cat sort of like me only it wasn't too friendly ...just curious. Think they called it a bobcat.

While we hiked I got to taste the grass along the way, and roll in the dirt which is great fun. I had to watch out for a big bird that kept hanging around. It was called a hawk. And this time I even got to climb in a tree which was exciting. They are sort of like my cat condos at home only a little bit rough.

After my hikes I usually cleaned up a bit then took a good nap in the sun. And that sounds like a good idea right now, too, so I'll sign off till next time.

Hot Texas Summer

Here we are in the middle of July (well, nearly) and it's too hot to do anything! So I sit in the top of condo #1 and watch the grass dry out in the yard. Not too many squirrels out right now and my friend, the lizard, hasn't been around lately. MM went out briefly but hurried home again. I get so lonely when no one is here and I drag my toys around looking for MM or MD. Don't you feel bad for me?? And where are all the neighborhood cats?? There used to be so many-orange ones, black and white one, Siamese mixes, and a black cat ...but they're never around any more. Where do kitty-cats go if they don't have houses and people?

Trying to resart my blog

These googley people don't make it easy! My recent try at setting this up didn't work when I went back to write some more so had to do a new one. formerly Emma the Camping cat and also EmmaGandMe. So here I am just back from another camping trip. "Hiked" a lot this trip. At least it was a lot for me. We found deer and squirrels and maybe bear tracks. Spent some time rolling around in the dirt much to MM's dismay.

My favorite activity was laying on the big bed in the sun after breakfast. I also like to find all the hidey places like cabinets and under things and in the closet. About 3 am, I love to play "scratch the mattress" to wake MM and MD up to feed me or get water or just to play...oops! I went to far this time tho' and MM got a concussion when she hit a shelf trying to catch me. She's better now but still a little nuts!

Now it's time to hit the window shelf for my nap. Meeoowsy!
